Business Tips #5 - “Relationship Building With Your Agents”

Small things can go a long way to improving your agent retention.

We all want to feel we are a part of something! We all want to feel important! Agent’s are no different. These are just a few of the simple tools you can utilize to improve your relationship with your agents!

  • Adding an agent’s picture into their profile (option I.1.1.) which is linked throughout the application provides a valuable identifier to you and your administrative staff. This way when an agent contacts you or your staff, you have a face to go with the name.
  • Enter agent’s birthdays into the program and produce an agent birthday report on a monthly basis. You can use this information and send them a Birthday card, a letter or a phone call, giving that extra added touch.
  • Run production reports and in particular Agent Ranking reports and congratulate the agents on the top of the list. This report can also be utilized to identify agent’s who are struggling or not producing since they need your attention too!
  • The low producing agent’s can be put on a development plan or an Agent Budget where their plan or budget can be monitored throughout the year and compared with actual numbers.
  • Provide the technology tools to assist the agents in their business.

These are just a few of the ways to take accounting data and use them as great source material for further developing relationships with your agents. Remember that if they do well, you do well.
