Mike Barnett serves as President & CEO of Texas REALTORS®, leading strategic direction, operations, and advocacy efforts for the state's largest professional trade association. Representing more than 140,000 real estate professionals, Texas REALTORS® works to advance the industry, protect property rights, and support its members with innovative tools, data, and services. Before assuming the role of CEO, Mike brought nearly 20 years of experience within the association across a variety of leadership positions. He began as a field representative in North Texas, supporting grassroots engagement and strengthening relationships with local associations. He later served as Director of Political Affairs, where he was part of the association’s well-respected lobby team and helped lead grassroots and political strategy to advance key advocacy priorities. Promoted to Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Mike oversaw day-to-day operations, budgeting, and strategic planning, ensuring the organization remained aligned with its mission and long-term goals. As Executive Vice President, he led cross-functional teams and major initiatives that modernized internal systems and expanded support for members and local associations statewide. Known for his collaborative leadership and strategic mindset, Mike brings deep institutional knowledge, a commitment to innovation, and a passion for delivering member value.
